Shine Brass 001

The Shine Snare Drum is the first successful casting drum in my workshop and carries the serial number 001.

It is crafted from solid cast brass, poured into a sand mold. The lugs are cast integrally with the shell, enhancing acoustic resonance while reducing the need for additional screws and hardware that could dampen the sound.

The surface of the shell resembles the texture of the moon—subtle grooves and small air bubbles form crater-like details, making each drum truly one of a kind.

To finish, the shell is hand-brushed to a shine, revealing the natural beauty of the brass.

This handmade snare drum is exceptionally heavy with thick shell walls. Its sound is full, powerful, and loud. Thanks to its strong acoustic response, the rimshot is extreme and explosive.
